Abstract

Al-silik is one of the poets of the pre—lslamic arab brats who belonged to the tamim adnaniya tribe which appeared in the country. He was called silik attributed to his mother silka , anation of black colored , he was known for his hostility, as he was called the lion. His life was based on raiding and killing. He used to raid on Yemen Valleys and other tribes,Which he mentioned later on in his poems that became an interest to linguists and geographers.Eventually, he was killed in one of his raids .
