Psychological resilience and its relationship to academic performance among university

Abstract

The present research aimed to identify the level of psychological resilience and academic performance as well as knowledge of the relationship between them in a sample of students of the University of University of Tikrit according to gender (males - females). The research sample reached (300) male and female students (150) and (150) students from the faculties of Tikrit University, and the two researchers built a measure of psychological resilience. Which consists of three areas, namely: - The field of personal competence and includes (11) paragraph, and the field of problem-solving and includes (12) paragraph, and the field of flexibility and include (13) paragraph and thus became the scale of (36) paragraph and after presentation to experts and statistical analysis was retained On the same paragraphs was the stability was calculated by the method of re-test was (0.81) and is a good stability coefficient. The second variable is academic performance. The researchers built the scale, which consisted of (36) paragraphs. After extracting the honesty of the two scales, the researchers applied the two scales to the basic research sample consisting of (150) male and female students from Tikrit University.
