Linguistic correction for the Sheikh Abdulhaq AL-Dahlawi according to his book “Lama’at Al-Tankeeh”

Abstract

This research aims at revealing the efforts and distributions of Sheikh Abdulhaq Bin Saifuldeen AL-Dahlawi (died at 1052 A.H) in the field of linguistic correction according to his book “Lama’at Al-Tankeeh Fi Sharh Mishkat Al-Masabeeh”. This linguistic correction includes fixing utterances and tenses, manifesting, alteration and misrepresentation, linguistic criticizing and pointing what is slang and what is standard, what is what is Arabized and what is foreign. Al-Dahlawi used various utterances to express linguistic correction. The nature of the research imposed it to be divided into preview- to express the concept of linguistic correction, chapter one includes the cases of the linguistic correction for Al-Dahlawi, chapter two-includes the utterances Al-Dahlawi used to express linguistic correction, then the research ended with privileged results.
