Abstract

This study aims to utilize a sociological approach to explore the different elements in Layla Al-Atrashe's Novel The Sons of the Wind. The approach is based on untangling the different intrinsic elements shaping the text and their link with extrinsic social factors. The query entails introducing how different social issues find expression at the connotative and structural level of the text, underscoring hereby how literary language acts as a mediator between the text and the society.
