The Movement of Prices and the Factors Influencing it and the Efforts of the State in Dealing with High Prices in Egypt during the Fatimid Period (358-567 H / 969-1172 A.D)
Abstract
The study attempts to identify the movement of commodity prices and the factors influencing their rise or fall in terms of supply and demand, the effect of climatic factors, agricultural pests, epidemics and plagues, wars and internal strife or the monetary policy of the state, which affected the fluctuation of commodity prices. The study also attempts to demonstrate the efforts of the state to deal with the waves of high prices., either by pricing goods, controlling prices, fighting monopoly, controlling markets and punishing violators, opening state stores and selling goods in quantities sufficient to meet people's needs.Downloads
