Abstract

This study intends to investigate the nature of the relationship between the topic as it considered the controlling stimulus and the poetic self as it considered the directing and refined of this stimulus, of what carried of visions, styles and techniques give the topic the power of the presence and a feature of extension. The artistic work is not targeting to achieve a photograph resemblance or a pure auto reflection, but it targets extracting special visions from the status of the conceived self, based on that a relationship of the artist with the topic is a relation of addition in which the poet returns the topic again digested by instruments of the poetic self and its styles, but not as a relation of resemblance or an auto transfer. Based on this theoretical formulation, our study of the topic and self in Adnan AlSa'gh's poetry comes, taken from the texts in which the two presences have become clear as a pattern for application.
