Abstract

This thesis handles Al-Fehri's views in proving the original order of Arabic Sentence Structure and the indicators that he related to. Al-Fehri had based some indicators on Arabic linguistic heritage such as: the selection of case markers, pronominalisation conditions and the case agreement. But Al-Fehri found them insufficient in proving the typology he adopted. So he related to other indicators from the "Functional Lexical Theory" that the American scholar (Bresenan) had developed from Chomsky's Transformational Generative Theory such as: focalization, dislocation, scrambling and extra position. Al-Fehri wanted to prove that the original order of Arabic Sentence Structure is a pattern of (V S O). Briefly, there is a preview regarding his indicators. Since he used some examples from the Moroccan local Accent, in addition to his assumption about the copulative hypothesis /kan/ in the abstract nominal sentences as the verb /kan/ doesn’t always have a semantic form. Anyway, we can't deny the existence of nominal typology in Arabic Language.
