Protocols of Royal Honors and Majestic Ceremonies of the Rums Seljuk’s in Anatolia

Abstract

This historic study reveals a significant aspect of the Rum Seljuk’s civilization in Anatolia represented by the protocols of inaugurating the Sultans to their thrones in Anatolia and the associated political rituals followed by the Seljuk’s during these occasions of such the convention of the Sultanic Council and the commemoration of the Sultanic regalia. The study focuses on the diplomatic fundamentals the sultanate would celebrate when welcoming the majestic visitors, high ranking officials or diplomatic envoys. This study will elaborate on the celebrations and lavish festivals pronouncing military victories, religious holidays and royal marriages.
