Voluntary Work in Jordanian Civil Society Institutions: The Development Mechanisms and Challenges

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the situation of Voluntary Work's application in the Institutions of Jordanian Civil Society, and to identify the development mechanisms and challenges. to achieve the objectives of this study, two methods were used. First method; (496) samples were distributed to employees randomly simple and the validity and reliability has been ascertained. The other method is by interviewing (13) managers to identify the challenges and development mechanisms. The results indicated that the level of Voluntary Work’s application in the Institutions of Jordanian Civil Society were in the middle level. The most important challenges were “the limitation of founding resources of Voluntary institutions” and “the most important development mechanisms; to find funding by networks that support the Voluntary Work”.
