Abstract

This study aims at shedding light on the Morphological Balance and the abstract verb definitions in Arabic and English dictionaries and books. The abstract verb in Arabic has two parts, trilateral abstract and quadrilateral abstract. The verb “faᶜala” formula belongs to three kinds. First, “faᶜala” puts (َ) on the second letter. second, “faᶜula” pust (ُ) on the second letter, and the last, “faᶜila” puts (ِ) on the second letter. We start the form of three letters “faᶜala” by putting (َ) on the second letter. This formula includes “yafᶜalu”, “yafᶜilu”, and “yafᶜulu”. The second form “faᶜila” by putting (ِ) on the second letter. This formula includes “yafᶜalu”, and “yafᶜilu”. The third form “faᶜula” by putting (ُ) on the second letter. This formula includes “yafᶜalu”, and “yafᶜulu”. Quadrilateral abstract has one scale “faᶜlala”.
